Today the Governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, announced that Regal Rexnord, a prominent U.S. company, will invest $13.5 million in Chihuahua. This investment will pave the way for the manufacturing of connection mechanisms for aircraft and helicopter stabilizers, which are critical components for safety, with advanced materials and specialized processes.
The investment by Regal Rexnord is set to create 240 new employment opportunities for the local workforce. These operations will be housed in a 125,000-square-foot industrial building.
The announcement was made at the Mexico Pavilion in Paris Air Show 2023, Aerospace Fair in France, with the participation of Governor Campos, Jamie Quilter, Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer and Aerospace Sector of Rexnord Corporation, and Prodensa team members, discussing the details of the company’s upcoming operations in Chihuahua.
Regal Rexnord selected Chihuahua as its preferred investment destination after an extensive search for suitable locations in Mexico. The capital city of Chihuahua stood out as the best option for the company’s manufacturing needs.
In addition to attracting foreign investment, the State Government’s support for this project also extends to local Chihuahua companies. HT-MX, a reputable heat treatment processes provider, has the potential to become a supplier for Regal Rexnord.
The High Technology Training Center (Cenaltec) is working on a personnel training program for this specific project.
